SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word has agreed to play home-and-home against the North Dakota State Bison in the 2026 and 2028 seasons.
 
The Cardinals will kick off the 2026 when they host the Bison on Saturday, Aug. 29. UIW will then travel to the Fargodome in 2028 to once again open the season against North Dakota State on Saturday, Aug. 26.
 
UIW has taken on North Dakota State twice in program history, both on the road. The first matchup came in 2014, the first and only time the Cardinals were the marquee matchup on College GameDay. The second coming in the semifinal of the FCS Playoffs in 2022.
