SAN ANTONIO, TX. – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team hosts Prairie View A&M University and Tarleton State for midweek matchups to open their five-game homestand. The Cardinals and Panthers will take the field on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. The following day the Texans come to town with the first pitch scheduled for 2:05 p.m.

UIW   

• Rob Liddington Jr. is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .370 Liddington leads the team with 50 hits. He also leads the team in home runs with ten, runs scored with 35, and is second in RBI with 35.  

• Entering the week, the Cardinals have the third-most homers (38) in the SLC. They also have the fourth-most hits (317) and the fourth-most RBI (218). 

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals' Friday guy, pitching to a 5.94 ERA and leading the team in strikeouts with 39.  

• The Cardinals enter the week 14-20 (2-16), after losing their series to SE Louisiana. 

Scouting the Panthers 

• Ahmar Donatto leads the team batting .370 with 34 hits, 18 RBI, and 14 runs scored.  

• Leonardo Bravo is 2-1 in two starts and has pitched to a 3.38 ERA. In 37.1 innings, Bravo has struck out 23 batters and allowed 14 runs on 36 hits.  

• The Panthers enter the matchup 8-22 (4-5) after their weekend series with the University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff was postponed. 

Scouting the Texans 

• Slade McCloud leads the team batting .370 with 47 hits, 27 RBI, and 29 runs scored.  

• Brian Panneton is 3-2 in eight starts and has pitched to a 3.40 ERA. In 39.2 innings, Panneton has struck out 38 batters and allowed 15 runs on 39 hits.  

• The Texans enter the matchup 14-19 (3-3) after losing their series against Seattle University.
