HAMMOND, LA. – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team visits Southland conference foe Southeastern Louisiana for a three-game set. On Friday, the Cardinals and Lions kick off the series with a 6 p.m. game time. UIW and SLU will play two on Saturday, with game one of the doubleheader starting at 11 a.m.  

The games will be streamed on ESPN+. Fans can also follow along on live stats and on X @uiwbaseball. 

Friday's game marks the 24th meeting all-time between the two programs.  

UIW   

• Rob Liddington Jr. is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .384 Liddington leads the team with 48 hits. He also leads the team in home runs with ten, runs scored with 35, and RBI with 33.  

• Entering the week the Red and Black have the 4th most doubles (52) in the SLC. They also have the 3rd most-homers (34), the 2nd-most hits (297), and the third-most RBI (208). 

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals' Friday guy, pitching to a 5.77 ERA and leading the team in strikeouts with 32.  

• The Cardinals enter the weekend 13-18 (1-14), after losing a midweek matchup to Texas A&M. 

Scouting the Lions 

• Ryan Brome leads the team batting .387 with 32 hits, 29 RBI, and 31 runs scored.  

• Brennan Stuprich is 6-1 in seven starts and has pitched to a 1.87 ERA. In 43.1 innings, Stuprich has struck out 66 batters and allowed nine runs on 23 hits.  

• The Lions enter the matchup 23-6 (9-3) after defeating South Alabama in a midweek game this past Tuesday.
