SAN ANTONIO, TX. – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team will visit the University of Texas A&M Corpus Christi to finish their South Texas road trip. The first pitch for Friday is set for 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday will kick off at 2:00 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

UIW   

• Rob Liddington Jr. is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .357. Liddington leads the team with 60 hits and 41 runs scored. Liddington also leads the team in home runs (12). Rey Mendoza leads the Cardinals in RBI with 46. 

• Entering the week, the Cardinals had the third-most homers (44), the fifth-most hits (378), and the fifth-most RBI (256) in the Southland Conference.  

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals' ace, pitching to a 6.45 ERA. Salinas leads the team in strikeouts with 45 and innings pitched with 53.0. 

• The Cardinals enter the weekend 16-25 (2-19), after defeating UTRGV in a non-conference midweek matchup earlier this week. 

Scouting the Islanders 

• Austin Russell leads the team batting .336 with 45 hits, 24 RBI, and 20 runs scored.  

• Zach Garcia is 4-4 in ten starts and has pitched to a 4.08 ERA. In 64 innings, Garcia has struck out 43 batters and allowed 29 runs on 60 hits.  

• The Islanders enter the week 14-26 (6-15) after canceling their midweek matchup against UTSA.
