SAN ANTONIO, TX. – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team will visit Abilene Christian University for a second midweek matchup. The Cardinals and Wildcats faced off earlier this season. at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. The Red and Black defeated ACU 11-7 back in February. First pitch for Tuesday is set for 6:05 p.m.

UIW   

• Rob Liddington Jr. is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .361. Liddington leads the team with 57 hits and 40 runs scored. Rey Mendoza and Liddington are tied for the most home runs (11). Mendoza leads the Cardinals in RBI with 46. 

• Entering the week, the Cardinals have the fifth-most doubles (68) in the SLC. They also have the third-most homers (44), the third-most hits (371), and the fourth-most RBI (251). 

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals' ace, pitching to a 6.45 ERA. Salinas leads the team in strikeouts with 45 and in innings pitched with 53.0. 

• The Cardinals enter the week 15-24 (2-19) after getting swept by conference leading McNeese State. 

Scouting the Wildcats 

• Sam Hardcastle leads the team batting .360 with 32 hits, 20 RBI, and 18 runs scored.  

• Dominick Reid is 4-2 in nine starts and has pitched to a 3.64 ERA. In 54.1 innings, Reid has struck out 67 batters and allowed 23 runs on 48 hits.  

• The Wildcats enter the matchup 20-14 (5-7) after sweeping their weekend series against Utah Tech.
