SAN ANTONIO, TX. – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team hosts McNeese State University for a weekend series. The Cardinals and Cowboys will take the field on Friday and Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. On Sunday, the teams will get the series finale underway with a 1:05 p.m. first pitch. Bubble Bath Car Wash will sponsor this weekend series.

UIW   

• Rob Liddington Jr. is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .361. Liddington leads the team with 52 hits. He also leads the team in home runs with 11, runs scored with 39 and is second in RBI with 36.  

• Entering the week, the Cardinals have the fifth-most doubles (63) in the SLC. They also have the third-most homers (40), the second-most hits (345), and the third-most RBI (238). 

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals ace, pitching to a 5.94 ERA. Salinas leads the team in strikeouts with 39 and in innings pitched with 47.0. 

• The Cardinals enter the weekend series 15-21 (2-16), after splitting their midweek games with a win against Prairie View A&M and a loss to Tarleton State. 

Scouting the Cowboys 

• Easton Dowell leads the team, batting .417 with 40 hits, 25 RBI, and 23 runs scored.  

• Alexis Gravel is 3-1 in seven starts and has pitched to a 2.86 ERA. In 34.2 innings, Gravel has struck out 52 batters and allowed 11 runs on 29 hits.  

• The Cowboys enter the matchup 24-5 (11-4) after sweeping their weekend series against the University of New Orleans.
