NATCHITOCHES, LA – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team visits Northwestern State University on March 7-9 at Brown-Stroud Field. Game time for Friday's game is set for 6:30p.m. On Saturday game time is set for 2:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Friday's game marks the 27th meeting all-time between the two programs  

UIW   

• Rob Liddington Jr. continues to produce at the plate. Liddington leads the Cardinals, batting .434. Liddington leads the team in home runs with six. He has 19 runs scored and 18 RBI.  

• Entering week four, the Red and Black had the 9th-best BA (.343) in the NCAA. They also had the 10th-most doubles (32), 7th-most hits (140), 8th-most runs (122), and 12th-highest OBP (.457). 

• Rey Mendoza leads UIW in RBI with 20. Thomas Lyssy leads the team in runs, scoring 21. 

• Salinas has been solid on the mound, pitching to a 3.71 ERA and leading the team in innings pitched (17.0) and strikeouts (14).  

• The Cardinals enter the series 8-5 after hitting a walk-off home run against Texas State this past Tuesday.  

Scouting the Demons 

• Reese Lipoma leads the team, batting .400 with 18 hits, eight RBI, and 18 runs scored.  

• Trent Hillen is 1-1 in three starts and has pitched to a 5.87 ERA. In 15.1 innings, Hillen has struck out 19 batters and allowed ten runs on 19 hits.  

• NSU enters the matchup 5-7 after getting swept by Southeastern Louisiana University this past weekend.
