SAN ANTONIO, TX– The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team hosts Lamar University for a three-game set at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. On Friday and Saturday first pitch is set for 2 p.m. while Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Friday's game marks the 25th all-time meeting between the two programs.  

UIW   

• Daniel Calabrese is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .378. Calabrese leads the team with 42 hits. Rob Liddington Jr. leads the team in home runs with nine, runs scored with 30, and RBI with 30.  

• Entering the week the Red and Black have the 5th best BA (.297) in the SLC. They also have the 3rd most doubles (50), the 2nd most hits (265), and the second most RBI (186). 

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals' Friday guy, pitching to a 6.00 ERA and leading the team in strikeouts with 28.  

• The Cardinals enter the matchup 13-14 (1-11), after defeating PVAMU on Tuesday. 

Scouting the Cardinals 

• Damian Ruiz leads the team batting .417 with 43 hits, 23 RBI, and 38 runs scored.  

• Riley Hunsaker is 2-2 in six starts and has pitched to a 2.30 ERA. In 31.1 innings, Hunsaker has struck out 28 batters and allowed eight runs on 27 hits.  

• Lamar enters the matchup 20-7 (6-6) after sweeping Texas A&M Corpus Christi this past weekend.
