SAN ANTONIO, TX– The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team visits Prairie View A&M University and Texas State University for a pair of midweek games. On Tuesday the Red and Black play the Panthers at Tankersly Field at 2 pm. On Wednesday, the Cardinals travel to Bobcat Ballpark to take on the Bobcats at 6 p.m.

• Daniel Calabrese is the Red and Black BA. leader, batting .378. Calabrese leads the team with 42 hits. Rob Liddington Jr. leads the team in home runs with nine, runs scored with 30, and RBI with 30.  

• Entering the week, the Red and Black have the 5th-best BA (.297) in the SLC. They also have the 3rd doubles (50), the 2nd most hits (265), and the second most RBI (186). 

• Josh Salinas has been the Cardinals' Friday guy, pitching to a 6.00 ERA and leading the team in strikeouts with 28.  

• The Cardinals enter the week 12-14 (1-11), after taking the final game of their series against Nicholls State. 

Scouting the Panthers 

• Landon Williams leads the team batting .354 with 29 hits, 23 RBI, and 19 runs scored.  

• Leonardo Bravo is 2-1 in two starts and has pitched to a 3.54 ERA. In 28.0 innings, Bravo has struck out 17 batters and allowed 11 runs on 25 hits.  

• PVAMU enters the matchup 8-17 (4-2) after winning their series against Southern University this past weekend. 

Scouting the Bobcats 

• Ryne Farber leads the team batting .326 with 28 hits, 12 RBI, and 18 runs scored.  

• Alex Valentin is 4-10 in three starts and has pitched to a 3.77 ERA. In 28.2 innings, Valentin has struck out 27 batters and allowed 12 runs on 15 hits.  

• TXST enters the matchup 11-12 (3-3) after sweeping Arkansas State last weekend.
