SAN ANTONIO, TX– The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team hosts conference foe UNO March 14-16 at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. The Cardinals are still in search of their first conference win in 2025. The first pitch for Friday and Saturday is set for 2:05 p.m. The series finale on Sunday will get started at 1:05 p.m.

Friday's game marks the 26th meeting all-time between the two programs.  

UIW   

• Daniel Calabrese and Rob Liddington Jr. are the Red and Black BA. leaders through 18 games. They lead UIW batting .392. Calabrese leads the team with 31 hits. Liddington leads the team in home runs (9), runs scored (24), and RBI (26).  

• Entering the series, the Red and Black have the second-best BA (.315) in the SLC. They also have the most doubles (40), the second-most hits (177), the second-most runs (196), and the most RBI (140). 

• Salinas has been solid on the mound, pitching to a 3.47 ERA and leading the team in innings pitched (23.1) and strikeouts (23).  

• The Cardinals enter the series 9-9 (0-6), after splitting their midweek games at UTSA and at Tarleton State.  

Scouting the Privateers 

• Bryce Calloway leads the team batting .393 with 24 hits, 21 RBI, and 19 runs scored.  

• Grant Edwards is 0-1 in four starts and has pitched to a 4.71 ERA. In 21.0 innings, Edwards has struck out 32 batters and allowed 11 runs on 24 hits.  

• UNO enters the matchup 8-7 (2-4).
