SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team is set to travel to Hammond, Louisiana, to open play in the 2024 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament on Wednesday, May 22, at 12 p.m. against No. 1 Lamar University.   

The Cardinals won its final regular season game to clinch the final spot in this year's conference tournament. 

The rest of the tournament consists of No. 4 Northwestern State against No. 5 McNeese, No. 2 Nicholls vs. No. 7 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and No. 3 New Orleans vs. No. 6 Southeastern Louisiana.
