SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team visits its crosstown rival, UTSA, for a midweek matchup at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. The Cardinals then visit Houston Christian University (HCU) for a three-game series May 16-18 to close out the regular season.

Dalton Beck leads the Cardinals in hits with 81. Beck has 16 home runs and 62 RBIs this season to lead the team batting .391. Cameron Caley is another key contributor for the Cardinals, recording 64 hits with 41 RBIs and 55 runs scored. Caley leads the conference in walks with 52.

Josh Salinas is 5-2 this season through 64.1 innings of work. He's tallied 63 strikeouts, two complete games, and one shutout through his 12 starts on the mound.
Scouting the Roadrunners

UTSA is 29-21 this season and 15-9 in the AAC. Last week, the Roadrunners won its series against South Florida 2-1.

Mason Lytle is batting .366 this season for the Roadrunners, totaling 82 hits, 43 RBIs, and 49 runs scored. Rugar Riojas is 9-3 this season, striking out 67 batters in 61.2 innings pitched.
