SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team is set to travel to Tarleton State in a midweek matchup on Tuesday, March 26. The Cardinals then travel to Louisiana to take on the University of New Orleans (UNO) in a three-game series starting Thursday, March 28 and ending Saturday, March 30.

Infielder/Outfielder Ryan Scott has 29 hits with 15 RBIs and 26 runs scored to lead the team, batting .453. Scott has the eighth best batting average in Division I and is currently on an 11-game hitting streak. Outfielder/LHP Dalton Beck is another key contributor for the Cardinals with 40 hits, four home runs, and 26 RBIs this season while batting .449. Infielder Grant Randall is second in Division I with four triples.

Josh Salinas is 2-0 this season with a 2.16 ERA. In 25 innings of work Salinas has allowed six earned runs on 12 hits, while striking out 25 batters

Trace Morrison is batting .311 this season with 23 hits, 18 RBIs and 11 runs scored. Braydon Risley is 0-3 this season, striking out 22 batters while giving up 17 earned runs in 26.1 innings pitched.
