SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team took the second battle of the Cardinals, 76-67, taking down Lamar on Monday night in the McDermott Center.
Sky Wicks added another double-double to the books with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cardinals came out of the gates on fire getting out to a 7-0 lead and taking control of the game. Eight Cards scored in the first half, led by

Coming out of the locker room the Cardinals came out swinging, going on their best scoring run and reaching their largest lead of 14, 50-36. The two UIW big men found themselves in foul trouble and Lamar was able to fight off the early run. In the end
Sky Wicks exploded nearly recording a second half double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds to help the UIW Cardinals coast to a 76-67 victory.
