SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team dominated the box score in every category to defeat Texas Lutheran University in a full-team effort on Wednesday afternoon. The Cardinals head into Christmas break with a 70-36 victory and a two-game win streak.
Twelve Cardinals scored in the team win, with
Breelyn Sanborn posting 13 points on the game.
The Cardinal defense continues to shine, holding TLU to only two double-digit quarters. The Bulldogs scored 16 points in the third and 11 in the fourth, while only putting up nine points in the first two quarters combined.
UIW held the largest lead of the game and scored the most points (21) in the fourth quarter with the Cardinal bench seeing valuable minutes.
