CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team heads into the Southland Conference (SLC) portion of the season with a three-game series at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). UIW faces the Islanders on Friday, March 25, at 6 p.m. CT to open the series.

- TAMUCC had five student-athletes named to the SLC preseason all-conference teams.
- Hayden Thomas and Josh Caraway were named to the first team, while Justin Taylor, Brendan Ryan and Jaime Ramirez Jr. were selected to the second team.
- The Islanders are 12-10 overall and were picked to finish fourth in the SLC preseason poll.
- Ryan is batting .407 with 21 runs, 35 hits, eight doubles and 16 RBIs to lead the Islanders.
