SAN ANTONIO –
Kristen Straszacker and Ximena Conde Merlos led the University of the Incarnate Word women's swimming and diving team to a fourth-place finish at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Conference Meet. The four-day competition lasted from Feb. 16 – Feb. 19 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Conde Merlos placed second in the 1650-freestyle event with a final time of 17:30.34.
Straszacker finished third in the 100-backstroke event with a final time of 54.67.
The Cardinals placed fourth overall with a final score of 1,024.
