SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team will start off the 2022-23 season with two marquee out-of-conference games against the University of North Dakota (UND) Fighting Hawks and the UNLV Rebels. On Monday, Nov. 7 the Cardinals will make their return to the McDermott Center to take on the UND for the first time in school history at 7:30 pm.

Josh Morgan.
The Fighting Hawks are coming off a tough 2021-22 season but are hopeful to turn things around with eight student-athletes returning, including three starters.
Later in the week, on Saturday, UIW will travel to Las Vegas for a matchup against UNLV. The Cardinals and the Rebels have faced off once before in 2016 when UNLV won 92-64. The Rebels are coming off of an 18-14 season, finishing fifth in the Mountain West Conference.
