SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team looks to get back into the win column when it welcomes Central Arkansas to Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B, for a four-game Southland Conference series on March 26-28. First pitch for game one is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT).
UIW fell to ninth-ranked Texas on Tuesday in non-conference action. It was their first of two scheduled trips to play the Longhorns this season. Central Arkansas is also looking to get back to a win after falling to fourth-ranked Ole Miss. in its last time out.

- Taylor Darden (.348), Smith (.320) and Trent Koerner (.300) all have a batting average at or above .300 for the season to lead a Cardinals' offense that has a combined .256 average.
- Jordan McFarland leads the offense with three homeruns, Wilson Ehrhardt and Flores has two and Ridge Rogers has one.
- The Cardinals' pitching staff has a combined 4.33 ERA, 99th-best mark in the country.
- Isaiah Zavala leads the conference with a 0.49 ERA and just two earned runs.
- Michael Garza leads the staff with 21 1/3 innings pitched in six appearances, recording a team-high 28 strikeouts to just six walks.

HISTORY vs. CENTRAL ARKANSAS
- UIW is 7-11 all-time against UCA. The Cardinals won the last series, 2-1, on May 3-5 in 2019.
SCOUTING THE BEARS (7-9, 4-4 SLC)
- UCA is coming off a 5-2 loss to No. 4 Ole Miss on Tuesday night.
- The Bears have a .239 combined batting average and have four hitters batting above .300 the season in Coby Potvin (.381), Alonso Bibiano (.333), Nathaniel Sagdahl (.310) and Beau Orlando (.304).
- Sagdahl, Potvin and Orlando are 1-2-3 conference with a .580, .525, and .487 on-base percentages, respectively.
- Central Arkansas' pitching staff leads the conference with a 2.74 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
