UIW Men’s Basketball Travels to UT

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team will compete at the University of Texas (UT) on Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 7:30 p.m. CT.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
  • The Longhorns are 1-0 in the series history.
  • The two teams last met on Nov. 11, 2016.
 
UIW
  • The Cardinals are 2-10 on the season with wins over Our Lady of the Lake University and Grambling State University.
  • UIW has four student-athletes averaging double figures. RJ Glasper, Johnny Hughes III and Josh Morgan lead the team in scoring with 13 points per contest. Drew Lutz is contributing 12 points per game.
  • Hughes III is the Cardinals' leading rebounder, averaging seven per game, while Lutz has 19 steals and 50 assists on the season.
 
UT
  • UT is currently ranked No. 16 and is undefeated at home (8-0).
  • The Longhorns are 9-2 on the season, with Gonzaga and Seton Hall handing them their two losses.
  • Timmy Allen leads the team in scoring with 12 points per game and in rebounds with six. Tre Mitchell adds 10 points per contest.
