The Cardinals (2-2, 1-1 SLC) are coming off of their first Southland Conference win against Abilene Christian (Sept. 28, 31-24); Houston Baptist won its first conference contest as well, securing a 48-21 win against Northwestern State on Sept. 21.

THE CARDINALS
- UIW had a season-high four turnovers (three interceptions and one fumble recovery) against the Wildcats to keep its 16-game turnover streak alive. The Cardinals lead the league in interceptions with seven; they have 157 return yards off those interceptions.
- The Cardinals are tied with HBU in the league in turnover margin, averaging one turnover per game.
- UIW is 4-0 when playing against HBU. The Cardinals have three wins on home turf, and one in Houston.
- Kam Williams has had three 100-yard receiving performances, which ranks second in the league.
- Keyondrick Philio has just 114 rushing yards (115 gained and only one lost), but he leads the team with five rushing touchdowns.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
- Junior quarterback Bailey Zapp was named the STATS FCS National Player of the week after throwing for seven touchdowns in HBU's 68-31 win over Texas Southern on Sept. 28. He has thrown for 21 touchdowns in five games.
- Junior running back Dreshawn Minnieweather leads the team and the league in rushing yards with 438 yards in five games; he ranks second in touchdowns with eight (five rushing, three receiving).
- The Huskies' offense leads the league with 34 touchdowns; they also have the best pass efficiency at 67.8 percent (160-236-8).
