UIW opens home slate against Texas Southern

SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word football team is set to host its first home game of the season at Benson Stadium on Saturday at 6 p.m. (CT) against Texas Southern. The home game will feature the Freshmen Walk, free 2018 Southland Conference Championship replica rings and a UIW FanZone.

The replica rings, available for the first 1,000 fans, are in celebration of UIW's 2018 Southland Conference championship. The rings are made of silver and rhinestones.

The Freshmen Walk is a UIW tradition where all Cardinal freshmen are invited to be recognized at midfield prior to the game.

The game will also feature a UIW FAN ZONE. The Fan Zone is a family-friendly area at all home games where there will be a bounce house, an obstacle course and so much more. The Fan Zone is located in the parking lot between the football field and the tennis courts.
