SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team commences Southland Conference play on their home pitch in Benson Stadium, to host Texas A&M- Corpus Christi on Friday evening at 5 p.m. CT.

THE CARDINALS
UIW wrapped up non-conference play this past weekend as they faced two west coast teams -- California Baptist (Sept. 13) and California State University Bakersfield (Sept. 15). The Cardinals fell short in California against both squads.
Margaret Kofron, UIW's freshman goalkeeper, was in the goal in her first appearance as a Cardinal in the match against CSU- Bakersfield. Kofron nabbed a season-high, 11 saves, ins a single match.
SCOUTING THE ISLANDERS
Texas A&M- Corpus Christi enters Friday night's match with their goalkeeper Kyleigh Hall receiving Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. This comes to the Islanders just a week after UIW's keeper
Cailey Croson earned the same accolade.
The Islanders (3-4) come off a 1-0 win against the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley, where TAMU- CC got off six shots with four on target.
