PAYTON ADAMS

In her first year as a Cardinal, the freshman from Frisco, TX has been a stud for UIW's defensive line. She started both games this weekend (PVAMU/Sept. 6, UNT/Sept. 8) and played through all 180 minutes. With two shots on goal, Adams cleared multiple opponent advances to protect the net. It was this work that assisted the entire UIW defensive line to secure the Cardinals 3-0 shutout of Prairie View A&M (Sept. 6), their first win of the season.

KEELEY AYALA

Ayala's contributions as a forward have not gone unnoticed, as she is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to driving the ball to the net. The Wichita Falls native started both games this weekend (PVAMU/Sept. 6, UNT/Sept. 8) and wasted no time to tack points on the board. In UIW's matchup against PVAMU, Ayala was a critical part of the Cardinals' attacking line, weaving the ball through Lady Panther defenders towards the net. She tallied seven shots on the weekend with four on goal. This energy radiated to the squad, as UIW tallied 20 shots on the match.

Ayala was a rockstar against PVAMU with two goals in the game. One of which was a clutch header that tipped over a Lady Panther and the goalkeeper to cross the goal line. A strong boot to the net in the 88th minute would clinch UIW's 3-0 homestand shutout.

CAILEY CROSON

UIW's stud goalkeeper made sure to put in work this weekend, and her efforts were rewarded. The junior from Fulshear, Texas became a brick wall in the net, working with her defensive line to clear advances. She faced 24 opponent shots to make 11 clutch saves. Croson got her first shutout of the season against PVAMU (Sept. 6), denying all Lady Panther advances to protect the line of the net. In Sunday's match against UNT (Sept. 8), Croson faced 22 tough shots to answer back with 10 major saves. Multiple scoring opportunities were denied by Croson as she jumped, dove and charged on the ball. Her intensity and fight were ever-present throughout both of this weekend's matches as she put in work for all 180 minutes.
