SAN MARCOS, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team is set to face off against the Texas State Bobcats on Friday night at 7 p.m. (CT), opening up the 2019 season with an away game.
NEW YEAR NEW CARDINALS
The Cardinals, in their preseason play, gained critical skill in practice and provided in-game experience for the roster's newest additions. There are two new faces to the UIW squad,
Eve Clarkson and
Hannah Walsh, who look to contribute early in their careers.
UIW will also rely on returning goalkeeper
Cailey Croson and an experienced defensive line to hold a strong force to any opponent advances.
THE BOBCATS
Texas State is coming off a nail-biter finish against Baylor, where the Bobcats ultimately fell, 2-1.
