THIBODAUX, Louisiana --The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team fell, 7-3, to Nicholls on Saturday afternoon in Thibodaux, Lousiana.

- Sean Arnold extended his reached-base streak to 31 games. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk.
- Tyler Perez suffered the loss, throwing a strikeout and allowing just one walk in 3.1 innings pitched.
- Andrew Morgan struck out six batters in 4.2 innings pitched.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Colonels plated a run in the bottom of the second inning to take an early 1-0 lead. After a scoreless third frame, Nicholls extended its lead, scoring four runs in the fourth and one run in the sixth to take a 6-0 advantage.

The Cardinals found a better offensive rhythm in the seventh frame. An
Antonio Valdez RBI sacrifice fly, an Arnold RBI single, and a fielding error scored three runs to put the Cardinals on the board and cut Nicholls' lead to 6-3. Nicholls plated another run in the eighth en route to a 7-3 win.
