2018 (Freshman): Appeared in 19 games and started in two… had a record of three wins and only one loss… had 47 strikeouts in 49.1 innings pitched… held opposing batters to a batting percentage of .234.
 
Personal: Perez was born August 4, 1997, and is the son of Arnold and Alene. He is majoring in history with a minor in psychology. He transferred to UIW from Weatherford College, where he was named Region 5 Pitcher of the Week (2017).
