NATCHITOCHES, La. -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team led Northwestern State University by as many as 11 points, but the Demons went on several runs in the second half to win a Southland Conference game, 68-60, on Wednesday night at Prather Coliseum.
UIW led by seven points, 47-40,with 11:34 left in the game, but NSU went on a 10-0 run during the next four minutes and 20 seconds to take a three-point lead. Then, in the last 6:45 of the game, the Demons outscored the Cardinals, 18-10, to win the game.
Northwestern State improved to 11-17 overall and 6-9 in the SLC. UIW fell to 6-22 and 1-14.
