2018-19 (Freshman): Started 14 games and played in all 31 ... scored a career high of 21 points against Northwestern State on Feb. 27 ... scored a previous career high of 17 points against Nicholls on Jan. 5 ... scored 16 against Texas Tech in the season opener ... pulled down a career high of 12 rebounds against Sam Houston on Jan. 12 ... made five three-pointers against DePaul. Shot 5-7 behind the arc in that game .. shot  80.6 (29 for 36) percent from the line. With regard to the latter statistic, Antoine was a key contributor to the Cardinals’ status as the NCAA’s best Division I free throw shooting team ... was third on the team in rebounds with 102.

High School: Spent three years in the crucible of Ohio big-school varsity basketball … 2015-16: selected all-Ohio Capital Conference honorable mention, the season that Westerville South won the Ohio Division I state championship with Antoine contributing five points to a thrilling 57-55 win over Lima Senior … 2016-17: named first-team all-conference, Central District honorable mention, and Central Ohio all-star game most valuable player … played for coach Ed Calo.
 
Prep School:  2017-18: averaged nine points and eight rebounds a game—and shot 51 percent from the field, 79 percent from the free throw line, and 36 percent from behind the three-point arc—during the season for Bosco Institute of Crown Point, Indiana, where he played for coach Dave Maravilla.
 
Personal: His father, Antoine Smith Sr., played two years of collegiate basketball at Dayton and two years at Northern Kentucky … brother Antonio will be an incoming freshman football player at the United States Air Force Academy. Other siblings are Anthony, 16, and Charia, 14. Born Nov. 11, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio … history major.
 
Coach Cunningham says: “Antoine is a young man with a sharp mind, strong frame, smooth jumper, and workmanlike approach. As a U.S. history major myself, I was happy to hear that Antoine wanted to major in American history, with an eye possibly on law school, in part because his mom (Gloria) is a lawyer. I think Antoine is going to make a great impression at UIW. We're grateful to have him."
