HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 (20-25) | The early part of the set saw two teams fighting back and forth for each and every point. The game had six ties and 5 and six lead changes in the first part of the match before the Sugar Bears scored six straight points to take control. That six-point spurt was enough to keep the Cardinals away for the rest of the set.
SET 2 (21-25) AND SET 3 (16-25) | Waits was strong in the second set as she compiled six kills, but it wasn't enough for the Cardinals. The Sugar Bears had an answer for everything that the Cardinals threw at them. Waits and Taylor ended up leading the team in kills in the match.
