SAN ANTONIO – Following a season opener win against Schreiner, the University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team travels across the San Antonio river to in-city rival UTSA on Monday night at 7 p.m. (CT).

THE CARDINALS
- UIW is coming off a season opening win against Schreiner.
- The Cardinals had three players in double-digits, Alexis Henry (18), Imani Robinson (13) and Kara Speer (13).
- The Cardinals and the Mountaineers each had 28 defensive rebounds, but UIW grabbed more off the boards offensively with 15 to their six.
- Alexis Henry led the team with 19 points and 8 rebounds. She took 10 free throws making 9 for a single game high while playing at UIW.
- Freshman Brittney Stafford made her first career start against SU, while Destiny Jenkins and Taylor Green both made their Cardinals debut.

THE ROADRUNNERS
- UTSA won their season opener against Concordia 73-44 at home.
- The Roadrunners were led by senior forward Tija Hawkins who scored 17 points and had 6 rebounds. Charlene Mass and Karley Larson also contributed points in the double digits with 12 and 10 respectively. Overall the team shot 43.5% from the field.
- Timea Toth led the team at the boards grabbing four offensive and defensive rebounds apiece.
- Last season, UTSA went 7-21 overall and 2-14 in C-USA play with one win against North Texas and the other against Louisiana Tech.
- The Roadrunners' roster is a mixture of fresh faces and veterans with seven freshmen, five seniors and two juniors this season
