HOUSTON -- University of the Incarnate Word swimming and diving teams open their season at University of Houston Saturday morning. The women's teams compete against Houston and UT Permian Basin, while the men face UTPB.
 
CARDINALS TO LOOK OUT FOR:

• Hector Ruvalcaba Cruz (S) -- Coming off a summer with two international medals, this CCSA champion looks to keep his momentum going in the new season. Ruvalcaba Cruz has his eyes set on making NCAA's this year.
• Alex Garriga and Leonardo Sanchez (S) -- These two transfers are set to add points for the Cardinals
• Dawson Martinez (D) -- The defending Conference champion diver enters this meet as a junior, hoping to break his own school records.

 
UP NEXT
UIW's women swimming and diving face Rice University Oct. 12-13 in Houston. The men and women then host Trinity at home Oct. 26.
