PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team fell to Prairie View A&M, 3-2, Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals set the tone early and took the lead in the 13th minute, with 
Emily Halal scoring off an assist from 
Gio Olivieri. The PVAMU Panthers then scored two, with one in the 26th minute and one in the 38th minute, to enter the half up 2-1.
PVAMU extended its lead in the second half, scoring in the 70th minute. Freshman 
Cloe Morales helped UIW cut into the lead, placing the ball in the left corner of the net for a goal in the 83rd minute. This was her first goal as a Cardinal.
UIW had 12 shots with six on goal, but PVAMU closed out the match to secure the victory.
UP NEXT
The Cardinals are set to host Nicholls on Sept. 21, with the game beginning at 5 p.m. (CT) at Benson Stadium.
