SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team closes out the regular season with a three-game series against Sam Houston State beginning on Thursday. Thursday's game is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT), while Friday is slated for a 2 p.m. first pitch. Saturday's Senior Day is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
FIRST PITCH
The Cardinals are 29-23 overall and 13-14 in Southland Conference action after falling to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday. UIW is 20-8 at home.
 
Sam Houston leads the conference with a 35-18 overall record and a 21-6 mark in SLC play after falling, 6-5, to Texas A&M on Tuesday night in College Station.
