SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team faces Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday-Sunday in its final regular season road trip. Friday's series opener is set for 6 p.m. (CT), while Saturday's game is slated for 4 p.m. Sunday's series finale is at 1 p.m.
 
FIRST PITCH
The Cardinals are 29-20 overall and 13-11 in SLC action after dropping the series against Northwestern State on May 5-6. The Demons secured an 11-9 win in game one of Saturday's doubleheader, but UIW responded with a 6-5 victory in game two. The Cardinals' rally fell short in game three, with UIW falling, 9-8.
 
The Islanders are 24-26 overall with an 8-16 mark in SLC play after securing a 2-1 series win over McNeese on May 4-6. TAMUCC won games one and two 9-4 and 9-8, respectively, before falling, 11-6, in game three.
