SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team hosts Texas Southern on Friday-Sunday at Daniel Sullivan Field. The Cardinals and Tigers begin their three-game series Friday at 6:30 p.m. (CT). Game two is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by Sunday's series finale at 1 p.m.
 
FIRST PITCH
After a series sweep of Stephen F. Austin on March 29-31, UIW is set for a break from conference action with a three-game series against Texas Southern out of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
 
The Cardinals look to extend their six-game winning streak and 14-4 home record against the Tigers.
 
Texas Southern is 10-18 overall after going 1-2 against Grambling on March 30-April 1. The Tigers are 5-15 on the road this season.
