NEW ORLEANS -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team travels to New Orleans for a three-game series against Southland Conference foe UNO starting on Friday at Maestri Field. Friday's game is slated for 6:30 p.m. (CT), while Saturday is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday's finale is set for 1 p.m.
 
FIRST PITCH
The Cardinals are 25-17 overall and hold a 10-8 mark in SLC action after falling to UTSA on Tuesday (11-1).
 
The Privateers are currently 7-11 in the Southland conference and look to advance their 7-12 home record at Maestri Field.
 
UIW and UNO last squared off in 2017 with a three-game league series April 28-30. The Cardinals fell in games one and two (15-7 and 9-2) before securing a 10-9 victory in the series finale.
