HOUSTON -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team dropped a 1-0 decision to Houston Baptist in game two of the series on Friday afternoon at Husky Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Houston Baptist scored early in game two, taking a 1-0 lead on an RBI single through the right side in the first inning.

The Cardinals and Huskies battled for seven and a half more scoreless innings, but HBU secured the 1-0 victory to take the series.

Ridge Rogers went 2-for-4, while
David Anaya and
Ryan Flores also chipped in hits.
Luke Taggart (4-3) suffered the loss, throwing five strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched.
