HBU tops UIW

SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team fell to Houston Baptist University, 1-0, on Friday night at Benson Stadium.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals were active on both sides of the pitch in the first half, clearing HBU offensive advances with strong defense and 11 shots on the night. Goalkeeper Sydney Huntsinger had a clutch save for UIW, tipping a Husky shot on goal to clear it from the net. Huntsinger had six saves on the night
The second half saw one goal by HBU in the 55th minute to give the Huskies a 1-0 win.

 
UP NEXT
The Cardinals face Texas A&M- Corpus Christi on Sunday in a makeup game originally scheduled for Sept. 14. Sunday's game time is set for 1 p.m. (CT).
