SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word swimming and diving teams are set to host Trinity on Friday. Swimming competition will take place at 2 p.m. (CT) at the Ann Barshop Natatorium, while diving events will be hosted at Trinity's Hixon Natatorium beginning at 3:30 p.m. (CT).

CARDINALS MAKING THEIR MARK
- Women's backstroke events will give freshmen Hailey Miller and Magda Vega Vidal opportunity to make their mark as a Cardinal.
- Bryce Kuchan, junior, has opened the season thus far with great performances in 100-yard Butterfly. Kuchan finished with a time of 50.94 against UT Permian Basin (Sept. 29).
- Freshman diver Timothy Newton racked up 265.10 points against UTPB, securing first place.
- Ana Lucia Garza also has had great performances in 3m and 1m diving and sets to continue her Cardinals debut.
- Oleksandr Karpenko has sights to continue cutting time to assert his dominance over the Breaststroke competition, taking first against UTPB with a time of 2:06.98.

Men's swimming and diving will compete next in College Station to face Texas A&M on Nov. 14-16. The women swim and dive teams are set to compete again Nov. 16-18 as they face University of Houston on the road.
