PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team traveled to Prairie View A&M and collected their first win of the young season with a 7-0 shutout on the road Saturday.

The Cardinals (1-2) started the day with a clean sweep in doubles, as Francisco Bendana and Sebastian Mortier led the way with a 6-0 win, to go to 3-0 as a team on the season. Joey Vatanadilok and Ivanhoe Lissanevitch paired up to sweep their match 6-0 as well, and Caleb Dyer and Zachary Vander Heidan took their match 6-4.

All six of the singles matches went the Cardinals way to earn their first win of the season.

The team will get back home and host UTSA tomorrow at 2 p.m.
