CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team's season came to an end on Saturday when their doubleheader at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was rained out in the second inning of the first game at Chapman Field.

The Cardinals finished the season with a 13-38 overall record and a 5-22 Southland Conference record.  This was their third season as an NCAA Division I program.  Next year will be the program's final of the 4-year transition period.  In 2018, the Cardinals will be eligible for post-season play for the first time.
