San Antonio, Texas – The UIW men's basketball team hosts Texas Lutheran on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. from the McDermott Convocation Center.
OPENING TIP
UIW is 27-11 all-time against TLU, with the last Bulldog win coming in 1998. The game will be an exhibition for the Bulldogs, who compete in NCAA Division III's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

On the season, Sterling Holmes leads the Bulldogs in both points per game (18.7), and field-goal percentage (61.3). His 5.3 rebounds per game trail only Matthew Gillette's 7.9. As a team, TLU is shooting 47 percent from the floor compared to 43 percent for its opponents.

Summary: UIW shot 59 percent from the floor in the second half - 50 percent in the game - to erase a four-point halftime deficit and defeat LIU Brooklyn, 90-79, Saturday evening from the Convocation Center.
Simi Socks led all five starters in double figures, scoring 18, to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, and one block.
Shawn Johnson (17) and
Jalin Hart (12) followed, while
Jorden Kite (14) and
Devin Wyatt (10) scored career highs.
Jerred Kite registered five blocks, all in the first half.
On the season, Johnson is second in the conference with 19.2 points per game and a 59.1 field goal percentage, and third with 8.5 rebounds per game. Hart is third with 4.7 assists per game, but has played in two fewer games than the leader. He is also second with 2.8 steals per game, while Wyatt is third with 2.3 blocked shots per contest. The Cardinals and the opposition are both shooting 44 percent from the floor.

UIW closes its three-game home stand Saturday at 7 p.m. versus Texas A&M International. The game will be shown live on Spectrum Sports Texas.
