SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team will host McNeese State at 7 p.m. this Friday night, Oct. 14, and Lamar University at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, both at Benson Stadium.
 
OPENING KICK
 
The Cardinals (3-8-1, 2-4 SLC) lost 1-2 to Texas A&M Corpus Christi this past Friday. The game went into overtime and the Islanders, who were 0-12, scored their second goal with 59 seconds left in the overtime period to take the win. That was the only game for UIW that weekend, which means the team has had one week break to prepare for their next busy weekend of games.  They will play the McNeese State Cowgirls (6-7, 2-4 SLC) and the Lamar Cardinals (1-11-2, 0-2-4 SLC) this upcoming weekend.
