2015 (Sophomore): Nelson made two appearances for the Cardinals in 2015 and totaled 47 minutes.

2014 (Freshman): Nelson made three appearances in goal in the 2014 season and played a total of 135:00 minutes. In that time she made a total of six saves and conceded three goals to contribute to a 2.00 goals against average.

2013 (Red-Shirt):  Nelson red-shirted her first year at UIW.

High School:  Nelson was on the soccer and basketball teams at Bishop Heelan Catholic High School.  As a senior, she earned First Team All-State, All-State Tournament Team and Second Team Missouri River Area Conference honors as a goalkeeper.  She set the school record with 13 shutouts as a junior and holds the school record for most career shutouts.  She was the team's Defensive MVP for three straight years.  She led the team to four conference titles, a pair of State semifinal appearances as a freshman and sophomore and a State runner-up finish as a junior.  She was a four-time All-Conference performer and was Honorable Mention All-State as a junior.  She represented her school as a "Gala Girl" for the Mercy Medical Center Foundation.

Personal:  Nelson is the daughter of Bill and Charlotte Nelson and is studying special education and interdisciplinary studies.  She has a sister, Mallory and brother, Zac.  She was born on April 19, 1995.  Her mother played volleyball and softball at UIW and her father was on the baseball team at UIW.  She volunteers in the life skills classroom at Floresville Elementary School.
