Keats Named WAC Offensive POW

DENVER, COLORADO – University of the Incarnate Word senior midfielder Noah Keats (Exeter, Eng./The King's School) was named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Keats scored twice for the Cardinals as UIW went 1-1 in Phoenix.  He scored the opening goal in a 2-1 loss against Sacramento State on Friday and came back two days later scoring the game-winning goal against Wisconsin-Green Bay to help the team earn a 2-0 win.  He leads the Cardinals with three game-winning goals on the season and has helped the team to a 3-2 start after beginning last year 0-5.

Keats is one of the leading scorers in the WAC.  He has four goals and two assists for a total of 10 points.  He is second in the conference in points, points per game, goals and goal per game and he leads the conference in game-winning goals.  Since joining the Cardinals last year, Keats has been a scoring machine with nine goals and five assists in 14 total games.  This was his third WAC Offensive Player of the Week award in his career.

Keats and the Cardinals are in action on Friday against Central Arkansas at 8 p.m. in Benson Stadium.
