NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team hits the road on Thursday to play Southland Conference leader Stephen F. Austin at the William R. Johnson Coliseum at 7 p.m.

The last time the Ladyjacks (19-6, 12-2) and Cardinals (5-20, 2-12) met was on February 12 with SFA breaking out in the second half to win, 64-47.  The Cardinals hung close early on and were only down 30-26 at halftime.  However, poor shooting by UIW prevented them from pulling off the upset win.  Yvonne Maosa (Mansfield/Mansfield HS) had a double-double for the Cardinals with 10 points and 11 rebounds.  The Ladyjacks were led by Porsha Roberts who had 20 points and eight rebounds.

The Cardinals are averaging 57.8 points per game this year and shooting 38.3 percent from the field.  Aricka Adams (Round Rock/Round Rock HS) leads the team with 13.6 points per game and four other players are averaging between 7.9 and 8.9 points per game.  Jazmine Holman (Arlington/Arlington Bowie HS) is among the league leaders in both assists, 5.3 per game and steals, 2.5 per game.

The Ladyjacks have won their last seven games and are 12-1 at home this year.  Roberts is averaging 17.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while Taylor Ross is averaging 14.2 points and 5.8 assists per game.  Overall, they are scoring 70.0 points per game and shooting 44.6 percent from the field.
