Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll
2014-15 (Junior): Maosa ended up as the team's second leading scorer and leading rebounder. She was a force on the offensive glass grabbing 98 boards on the season. She had nine games in which she had at least six offensive rebounds. Her breakout performance came against Our Lady of the Lake when she had 22 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first of five double-doubles for her. She had back-to-back 21-point, 10-rebound performances against Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese State. She had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 3-point loss at Houston Baptist. She scored a season high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds at Lamar. She was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Previous: Maosa played at Jacksonville College for Leasa Alshire. She averaged 13.9 points and 8.2 rebounds while earning second team all-district honors at Jacksonville in 2013-14. She was second on the team in both categories. She shot 52 percent from the field.
High School: Maosa played basketball at Mansfield High School. She earned academic all-district honors and was part of student government.
Personal: Maosa is the daughter of Ken Mosima and Margaret Bibb and is studying biology with a minor in psychology. She has a brother, Ian, and a sister, Deborah. She was born June 10, 1994 in Nairobi, Kenya. She volunteers at the VA Hospital shadowing and assisting doctors. She has worked with a children's orphanage in the Kibera slums in Nairobi, Kenya. She is fluent in Swahili.
