COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team could not overcome a second half goal from Air Force and dropped a Western Athletic Conference game 1-0 on Sunday at Cadet Soccer Stadium.

The Falcons' Tucker Bone scored his second goal of the season in the 57^th minute that would prove to be enough to be the game-winner.  The goal came after a quick restart on a foul occurring just outside of the box.

The Cardinals (5-5, 1-3) started the game a bit slow offensively, only attempting three shots all half.  The Falcons (4-6, 1-2) were not much better as they only took five shots.

The second half was a different story as both teams combined for 20 shots.  UIW goalkeeper Chase Therrien (Trophy Club/Byron Nelson HS) had eight saves, but could not do anything about Bone's heel tap to find the back of the net.  Air Force's goalkeeper, Rob Blair, backed a terrific game by the Falcons' defense with six saves on the afternoon.

Ben Conway (Wigan, Eng./Hawkley Hall) and O'Neal Moore (Houston/Alief Taylor HS) led the Cardinals with four shots each, but with no goals scored, this was the second straight game UIW has been shutout, 1-0.

The Cardinals have lost three straight games in conference and now face a tough road ahead in the WAC.  They are home to host Grand Canyon on Thursday at 7 p.m., but then go on the road to face UNLV next Sunday.
