The Incarnate Word men's tennis team almost had a sweep of the St. Mary's Rattlers 8-1. The Cardinals are now a perfect 3-0 against San Antonio opponents.
All three doubles matches were won as well as five out of six of the singles matches. The only singles match to reach three sets was between UIW's Brandon Davis and St. Mary's Guy Rutten. Davis lost the first set 4-6 but stormed back with consecutive wins to win his match. Marcin Marczewski was the only rattler to win a match defeating Leury Arias 6-4, 6-4.
The Cards will return to action next Friday as they will host Tyler College at 3:00 pm.
